From Nagatacho to Shibuya’s Neon Chaos! 🚀

If there’s one thing Tokyo does better than almost any other city, it’s delivering pure sensory overload the second you step off the train. On our latest family outing, we decided to make the trip from quiet, orderly **Nagatacho Station** straight into the energetic heart of **Shibuya**—and it was an absolute blast!

Here’s a look back at our trip through Tokyo’s subway system and into the neon wonderland of Shibuya.

### 1. Boarding at Nagatacho Station

Our adventure started at **Nagatacho Station**, navigating the long escalators and spotless platforms of the Tokyo Metro. Nagatacho is known as Japan’s political hub—quiet, efficient, and direct. After tapping through the ticket gates, we hopped on the **Hanzomon Line** for the quick ride over to Shibuya.

### 2. Emerging into Shibuya Scramble Crossing

Leaving the station was like walking into another world. We emerged right into **Shibuya Crossing**, surrounded by soaring digital billboards, towering skyscrapers, and buzzing crowds. Walking across the world’s busiest pedestrian intersection never gets old—you really have to experience the organized chaos in person to believe it!

### 3. Go-Karts on the Streets

While walking through the streets, we caught a glimpse of street go-karts zipping past in formation alongside regular traffic. Drivers dressed up in fun costumes were driving right past Shibuya Scramble—such a fun, quirky sight unique to Tokyo’s streets!

### 4. Snack Hunting at MEGA Don Quijote

No trip to Shibuya is complete without a pit stop at **MEGA Don Quijote**. We headed straight inside to check out the famous snack aisles. The shelves were packed wall-to-wall with Japanese KitKats in every unique flavor imaginable (matcha, peach, and more!). Naturally, we had to grab a few bags to fuel the rest of our day.

### 5. Night Lights, Neon & Tanabata Streamers

As the sun set, Shibuya truly came alive. The neon lights on every building lit up the night sky, creating that iconic cyber-city look. We even stumbled across colorful, hanging **Tanabata festival decorations** floating above the vibrant evening crowds—the perfect ending to an unforgettable day out.
