Hoops and Highlights: A Week at the NAS Jax Youth Activities Center

Last week was an action-packed one for the kids, as they spent their days on base at the NAS Jax Youth Activities Center. It was a fantastic experience for them, and I’m so glad we could take advantage of the programs run by NavyMWR Jacksonville.

The highlight of the week was definitely their basketball camp. They had a blast working on their game, and it was a special treat for them to have their camp hosted by former NBA player Reggie Evans! It was great to see them learning from someone with his professional experience.

It’s always a bittersweet feeling when these types of weeks come to an end—especially with our upcoming move to Yokosuka, Japan, in August. We're trying to soak up every moment here in Jacksonville before we head off on our next adventure!
