It’s the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time just browsing the different counters and deciding what to eat first.

Once you’ve gathered your food, the absolute best place to enjoy it is out on the market's expansive outdoor wooden deck. Just make sure to keep a close eye on your meal—there are even signs posted along the railing warning visitors about the ambitious local birds known to swoop down for a free snack!

If you manage to guard your food, the deck offers a stunning, sweeping view of the water that you won't want to miss. Looking out over the bay, you are treated to a fascinating nautical parade. We spent ages just leaning against the railing, spotting massive naval vessels on the distant horizon, the sleek Tokyo Kyushu Ferry, and historic ships docked right nearby with the Japanese flag waving gently in the sea breeze. It is a fantastic spot to simply sit back, enjoy the fresh ocean air, and watch the maritime world go by.
